Last month, my friend Chrystal and I took a 15 hour road trip to surprise her Mom with a weekend of family photos, traveling and new adventures! We had an amazing time. We even used the rain to our advantage and created a themed session that had us all giggling for hours! I love this family to pieces and I cannot wait to see them again in just a few short weeks!
South Carolina definitely stole my heart.
Our first stop was in Charleston, SC. We stood next to the Angel Oak Tree that is 65 feet tall, 25.5 feet in circumference and shades about 17,000 sq. feet! The Angel Oak is still very much alive and is estimated to be between 300 - 400 years old. It rained all day on our trip, but that didn't stop us from visiting Battery Park, the historic
Charleston City Market, stuffing our faces at Bubba Gump Shrimp and stopping in all the adorable little shops along the walk ways. We ended our visit to Charleston at Isle of Palms Beach where the rain cleared up just long enough for us to breath in the fresh ocean air and run around barefoot <3 The very next day we had a change of plans and decided to do an impromptu Mother/Daughter session in the rain! We grabbed matching umbrellas and took off exploring their town. Photographing these four together was a wonderful experience.
The bond between these 3 sisters and their Momma is one that is not easily swayed or broken. I could not be any prouder of these 4!
The love is present in every single photo.
